MCLEAN, Va., April 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Gladstone Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: GAIN) (the "Company") announced today that its board of directors declared monthly cash distributions:

$0.050 per share of common stock for each of April, May and June 2012, payable per Table 1 below.  The Company has paid 81 consecutive monthly cash distributions on its common stock as well as a bonus dividend payment in March 2012.

In accordance with Section 855(a) of the Internal Revenue Code, the Company elects to treat a portion of the distributions to be paid in April 2012 as having been paid during the fiscal tax year ended March 31, 2012.

$0.1484375  per share of the Company's 7.125% Series 2017 Term Preferred Stock "Term Preferred Stock") for each of April, May and June  2012. The Term Preferred Stock trades on the NASDAQ under the symbol "GAINP." Monthly distributions will be payable per Table 2 below.
